Rolled Sand
While digging up a section of ground to get the water to flow in the direction it generally wanted to go I hooked into this. I pulled it up with the backhoe on my John Deere Tractor. It is pretty heavy being approximately 2' across. It is almost round and the layers are rolled sand and clay. When I deposited it on the rock pile some of the pieces broke off like broken pieces of a pottery bowl.

Hiking Mt Tzouhalem 2
Hiking along the Mt Tzouhalem cliffside trail
Looking up into the top of an Arbutus Tree near the top of Mt Tzouhalem
Arbutus grove of trees
Sunlight shining through the peeling bark on the arbutus tree. A favorite of lovers as the tree is easy to carve into and the carving stays with the tree. Though a discouraged practise.
